Description: This is a photograph of the Mission House and School at Mornington Island Mission. It shows two buildings, raised on stilts, on a beach with vegetation visible in the background. This photograph was included in a file held by Queensland State Archives that discuses water supply at the mission, titled ‘Missions – Mornington Island – Water Supply [includes photographs]‘ (page 124). The file also contains other photographs taken at the Mission, including photographs of people living at the Mission. Individuals in the photographs have not been identified in the captions, however some have been identified as people from Bentinck Island.
