The Personal Files, Hunter Mission comprise files, arranged alphabetically by surname, created for young people involved in the Hunter Mission’s substitute care program. Information contained in the files includes: dates of admission and exit; some details about parents; and case plans for each young person. All young people who went through this program at Hunter Mission wee wards of the State.
As at May 2014, it is believed that these records, if they still exist, are held by Mission Australia.
In the publication Connecting Kin (1998), it stated that Hunter Mission had a policy of only keeping files for seven years.
Connecting Kin (1998) stated that there were approximately 6 boxes of Personal Files.
