Corelli was located on Marrickville Road, near the corner of Livingstone Road.
Former Department of Community Services worker Morri Young has told Find & Connect that around the 1980s Corelli was managed by 'Huffy', a young man who:
'brought a humane and stable regime to an otherwise institutional regime. Huffy died of leukaemia at a young age. He managed the facility for about 4 years, with a commitment to always hold a place for residents, irrespective of what they had done. It was the end of the line for many young men who had been rejected and ejected by every other facility.'
Corelli was closed by DoCS, and reopened by Youth Off The Streets around 1991.
