Morris House, in Taringa, was operated by the Anglican Society of St Francis and the Anglican Church Men’s Society. It was licensed 11 March 1975 and closed 30 November 1983.
According to a publication from 2003, Morris House, a Home in Taringa for young men aged over 15, was “operated by the Anglican Society of St Francis and Anglican Church Men’s Society” (Boyce, For the Record, p.29). The publication does not provide details of how the two organisations ran Morris House together.
The same publication stated that “Client records, over and above those maintained by the Government, were not kept. However, former residents or their families are always welcome to contact the Society” (For the record, p.29). There are some records relating to Morris House in the collection of the Records and Archives Centre, Anglican Church of Southern Queensland.
